How to raise a well behaved child .
The hardest thing to do in our generation now is how someone should train up his or her own child or children in a proper way. Things have become so bad that it will take an extra efforts from the parents to nurture their children in a proper way of living. With the advent of internet, these kids learn a lots of things that are not so good on social media which invariably will affect the way they think. These children also apart from learning from internet, they can also learn a lots of things from their friends or pears. These factors and more are responsible for a child behavioral tendencies which can either be negative or positive. In addition , we can see what is going on in Europe on how children and adult are being brain wash by fundamentalists to carry out attacks on innocent people including children. I know every parent wants the best for their kids that is the reason you should read this article to the end .However, when you learn to modify the behavior of a child you are building a nation and we most do it now because by the time they get to certain age,it will be to late.
This next step this article will teach us practical steps on how to modify a child's behavior in a positive ways.
1. POSITIVE BEHAVIORAL REINFORCEMENT APPROACH :When a child has done something that is so spectacular ,a parent most learn to praise him or her . This will endeared them to want to do more and even do better than the good things they did earlier . The reason for this is that a child will learn that doing good works will earn him or her a positive response from the parent. By the time the child gets older or becomes an adult ,he will quickly or naturally wants to do good things or be of best behavior because of the positive reinforcement attached to it.
2 LEARN WHAT I CALL THE PRINCIPLE OF EXTINCTION : We most as parent learn how to say no to somethings a child wants , Some of these demands from them are not in their best interest. The demands sometimes are erratic .A child wants to start driving a car at age eleven is not what a parent should encourage. A girl child wants a relationship at age 11 should not be encouraged either. I know some people do not see anything wrong in these things but we should know that a teenager will always be a teenager. They are irrational most of the time and any mistake they make now will follow them for the rest of their life . .It is what you feed them with that they will eventually learn to do when they are older . The bible says train up your child in the way of the lord when he is old he will not depart from it .Over indulgence is very dangerous for a child we should learn to say no to some of their demands or ignore them. This will develop some form of discipline in them when they get older. That is going to be a positive result for every nation in general.
3. MODIFICATION TECHNIQUE: A parent should be disciplined enough to show good example to their children . Your children are looking at what you do . When i was in the elementary school, some children were caught trying to kiss each other . When they asked them the boy simply said ,"dad and mummy always kiss each other in the living room." Later the school called both parents to report to them what had happened earlier. Some other kids were also caught abusing one another. It all start from home . We should learn to control our excessive behavior from these children . TO BE CONTINUED
